Behind every successful man is a woman ! Aren't we tired of this statement

 Growing up in a South Asian household our mother's, grandmothers always taught us one thing you need to be poised and proper for you to be accepted by a man.

A house is made home by a female because she has the responsibility to protect the dignity and guide her man to conquer the world. A woman should always be ready to compromise, never to question and always be positive about all the negative things that surround her as she needs to keep herself calm and collected for her man.

She cannot raise her voice, nor be expressive about her needs, because it's the male who works so diligently and in the evening needs sanity while you my dear are advised to keep the house warm and prepare a feast to serve and make him happy.

Because, females are entitled to keep a good environment where the marriage grows, and the kids learn so much from their mothers. Even when the kids rebel it's the fault of the mothers teachings, so my dear always adjust and be good.

I believed that teaching and did everything to be proper and dignified in every way the society wanted me to be but what about me? Is someone responsible for my mental health and peace as well.

Why am i so burdened to lead the way for my man and always be second to him. Why when a woman is successful no one says behind every woman success it's her man. Instead rumors are speeded and escalated to the speed of light she might have some connections or giving unwanted favors to make her way to the top.

Why am i so burdened to look a certain way, feel a certain way, carry out every duty and never leash out my anger. I am whole and i don't need to guide anyone. It's not my duty to feed you, prepare for you or always adjust to your settings.

You're an individual and let us both work as a team. Where i know i too have found my safe place where i know i too can be my actual self and keep my sanity. Where i know i am loved and protected. Let's be fair and stop with this irrational statement.

The society has already given women too much burdens. Let's not equipped her with one more. Every individual is responsible for their own actions. It's the support that matters and the underlying comfort of one's partner.
