My Visibility ?
Wanna flip my hair, shake of all my worries
Take a deep breath, show You that I don't care a damnDisclose the real me to You
You who thinks I am timid
You who thinks I am scared
But You were born out of Me
I made you with my flesh and blood
The strength You have in your bones, are the sacrifices that I made
The pain i bore to bring a life in You
All the sleepless nights I had for You
Now, You think you're my god
You set rules for me, and always tell me to nod
Nod in yes, nod in every way possible
You give me freedom in limited edition
You say I am free but it's always in fiction
You tell me to behave in a certain way,
While You act like a stray
You tell me to speak softly, sit properly,
Smile hesitantly, dress appropriately
You believe this world is a haunting place for me
You're my savior, making me abide by these rules,
To protect Me, to which I disagreed completely
You gave Me bruises, and aid them with hopes so falsely
I always give in, because my love for You is filled with warmth
You're my son, my father, my brother, my husband
But have you ever noticed Me, the dullness in my eyes,
The shaking of my hands, the tiredness on my face
The secrets that I keep by enclosing the real Me from You
I dare not speak my opinion as it hurts your patriarchy
Your so called toxic masculinity,
You say, You've grown, liberal and a feminist
But are you ready to accept my visibility ?
